The fully responsive website, SayEnough.org pays tribute to the many American lives lost and affected by gun violence. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence approached us in mid-February to design and develop the WordPress-powered site as a part of its #ENOUGH campaign (which encourages celebrities and other influencers in the entertainment industry to call attention to the critical need to stop gun violence). The campaign had an accelerated launch deadline to coincide with the 2016 Oscar® television event. The Brady Campaign, a Washington, DC-based 501(c)4 non-profit advocacy and lobbying organization, has led the movement to reduce gun deaths and pass legislation requiring background checks for every gun sale for more than two decades.
In just two weeks, Creative Analytics worked with the Brady Campaign team and its PR partners to design, develop, test, and launch the boldly designed but modern site. Featuring a user-submission form to capture personal stories of gun violence with automatic WordPress user registration, search capabilities, photo galleries, and a seamless mobile viewing and sharing experience, the newly launched site has already been viewed by tens of thousands. Each user submission has a dedicated page detailing a victim’s story and photo. Once published, story pages also allow site visitors to purchase commemorative bracelets personalized with the victim’s initials and age.
During launch weekend, on February 28th, several Oscar® nominees and winners, including Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Adam McKay, Bryan Cranston, Patricia Arquette, and other high-profile celebs, wore the commemorative bracelets to call attention to the human toll of gun violence and give a voice to those tragically lost or injured by this national epidemic. Since its launch, the website has been shared by several large online news media outlets, including People.com and The Daily Beast, and on Brady’s own social network of more than 150,000 people.
